Jeffrey DownsJeff’s background includes national sales and training engagements with Fortune 500 companies and experience as a Regional Director and General Manger. He has worked as a senior business leader responsible for new product development, marketing, and sales in companies such as Comsense Inc. and Best Practice Systems, Inc. one of the fastest 500 growing companies in America according to Inc. Magazine. As a leader in the Four Disciplines practice Jeff helps organizations and individuals execute on their most important goals. Jeff had led organizations in various industries to energetically increase productivity, significantly reduce costs, and dramatically increase revenue using the principles of execution. Jeff has been married for 19 years to his sweetheart, Jami. He is the proud father of six children (with one on the way) between the ages of 4 and 16. Jeff considers himself to be a fitness enthusiast with a passion for running and weight training.

Gian Paul Gonzalez, Teacher, Super Bowl Motivator and Founder/ Executive Director, Hope & Future Youth Center

Gian Paul GonzalezDuring the New York Giants’ 2011 Super Bowl run, much of their inspiration is attributed to Gian-Paul Gonzalez. Prior to the Giant’s Christmas Eve game with the NY Jets, Gonzalez delivered the now famous “ALL IN” rally cry message during the Giants’ chapel service and is now widely recognized as having inspired the New York Giants to their Super Bowl victory and was featured on ESPN on Super Bowl Sunday. He has appeared on Fox News, ABC and CNN and has traveled across the world as a motivational speaker -- from the Portland Trailblazers, to the Army Cadets at West Point, United States Air Force, Anheuser-Busch, Sam’s Club, PNC Bank, DSW Shoes as well as many other corporate, athletic, government agencies, and educational institutions. Gian-Paul Gonzalez is himself an inspiration. He was a former NCAA First Team All-American forward from Montclair State University scoring nearly 1,400 points in his 3-year career. He played in the NBA Summer League in 2007 and was offered a few professional basketball contracts, yet he turned them down in order to continue his work with at-risk youth. An international motivational speaker, Gian Paul is also an Educator - Union City Board of Education, Founder / Executive Director - Hope + Future Foundation & Community Center (an organization dedicated to using athletics & physical fitness to share a message of hope and striving for excellence to the inner-city youth of Hudson County, NJ) and Independent Consultant - NY Giants Player Development.

Randy Harrington, PhD, Founder and CEO of Strategic Arts and Sciences

Randy HarringtonFounder and CEO of Strategic Arts and Sciences, a consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, transformational leadership and organizational development. Co-author of Evolutionaries: Transformational Leadership and Slammed: Succeeding in a World of Too Busy, Randy brings a deep background in strategic planning and marketing strategy. After completing his doctorate in organizational communication from the University of Oregon, he began working with clients and immediately saw the need for organizations to create stronger alignment between company strategy and marketing execution with the use of advanced digital communications. This insight led to the founding of Extreme Arts and Sciences. Randy has worked with a wide range of clients in the financial services industry, tech and government. When not in the office, Randy is an avid guitarist, cook, and scuba diver. He makes his home in Eugene, Oregon with his wife, Patty.

Rob Monroe, Former Navy Seal Officer; Founder and Director Redfin Risk Management

Rob MonroeRobert Monroe is the founder and director of Redfin Risk Mitigation, Inc., providing tailored personal security consultation and training to professionals, executives, and high-value individuals.
With over twenty-five years of experience in Naval Special Warfare as a US Navy Sea-Air-Land (SEAL) officer, Robert has served in a variety of operational positions Including: SEAL platoon commander, SEAL Team training officer, Commander of the Navy Parachute Team – the ‘Leap Frogs’, assistant team leader at the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, and as a United Nations Military Observer in the Middle East. As a staff and plans officer, he served at Special Operations Command Korea, Naval Special Warfare Command, and US Special Operations Command. Robert commanded a Mid-West Naval Operational Support Center and later was Commodore of Naval Special Warfare Group Eleven.
A graduate of Defense Language School in Spanish, he holds a Business degree from Washington State University, and a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.

Her strategic business, financial management and innovative problem solving skills have aided her in garnering numerous awards, including: Small Business of the Year, Best Places to Work, Northwest Louisiana's 40 Under 40 Award, World Council's WYCUP and many industry and national marketing awards. Stephanie is passionate about community involvement, economic growth and development, family and fun. She obtained her Masters of Science in Finance from the University of Miami and her MBA from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She is a member of CUNA’s Board of Directors, she is Chair of CUNA’s Small Credit Union Committee and serves on the executive committee of CUNA’s CEO Council.

Nadar MoghaddamMoghaddam currently serves as Chair of the CUNA CEO Council, Vice Chair of the CA & NV CU Leagues Board of Directors and Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for CU Direct. He is Past Chair of the National Credit Union Roundtable; Past Chair of the CUNA Council Forum; and Past Chair ACUMA Board of Directors. Moghaddam Chairs the Advisory Committee of CU For Kids Orange County and he is Board Chair of Columbia Memorial Space Science Learning Center.



Brandon Michaels, President & CEO of Mazuma Credit Union ($580M)

Brandon MichaelsAchieved the unique distinction of being a third generation credit union CEO when he took over as CEO of Mazuma Credit Union at the age of 31. Prior to becoming CEO in 2012, he served as the credit union’s CFO and previously was VP Finance/CFO at SF Fire Credit Union, Controller at Cal State 9 Credit Union and CFO at Inland Empire Credit Union. He was previously a bank examiner with the FDIC and taught classes in Washington, D.C. to newer examiners. Michaels serves on the corporate advisory board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City, Chairman of the Board of Community Builders of Kansas City, and is actively involved in several other non-profit organizations. Michaels is also on the Executive Committee of the CUNA CEO Council and is a member of the Research Council for Filene Research Institute. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma (and loyal Sooner fan), he’s also a father of six year old twins, a pilot, and piano player.

Jeff YorkJeff York is the President/CEO of CoastHills Credit Union in Lompoc, California and has been in the financial services industry for more than 30 years. Before being named President in July 2004, Jeff was the Executive Vice President at CoastHills.

Jeff moved to CoastHills from The Walt Disney Company's credit union - Vista FCU in Orlando, Florida - where he served as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Marketing, and President/CEO for Vista Financial Services, LLC. Prior to Vista, Jeff worked in marketing for both Alliance Federal Credit Union in San Jose, California and Pacific Service Federal Credit Union in San Francisco.

Jeff holds a BA in Economics from the University of California at Davis, is a Certified Chief Executive, a graduate of the CEO Institute and the Executive Marketing Institute, and a long-time trade association member.

Jeff serves on several financial industry and community Boards, including: Past Chairman - California Credit Union League. Board Member - Card Services for Credit Unions (CSCU), National Credit Union Foundation and Marian Medical Center Foundation. Member - Mission Hope Cancer Center Advisory Committee and Economic Vitality Committee of San Luis Obispo.

CoastHills Credit Union was founded in 1958 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc, California. Today CoastHills serves five counties on the central coast of California from Santa Cruz to Ventura. It has $1 billion in assets, 63,000 members, 12 branches and 240 employees.

Scott Albraccio, Executive Benefits & Retirement of CUNA Mutual Group

Scott Albraccio is the executive benefits sales manager for CUNA Mutual Group, a company that specializes in the design, implementation, financing and ongoing administrative support of supplemental executive benefit programs specifically tailored to credit unions. Scott joined CUNA Mutual Group in 2000 when CUNA Mutual Group purchased League Insurance Agency, which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Connecticut Credit Union League. From 1989 to 2000, Scott served as vice president of marketing for League Insurance Agency. Prior to 1989, he spent a number of years as an insurance broker for businesses on employee benefits and pension planning programs.

Scott is FINRA securities registered and holds Life and Health Licenses. He studied marketing and sales management at Northeastern University and continued his studies at Quinnipiac College in Connecticut.

Tom Telford, Principal, Area Senior Vice President of BFB Gallagher

Tom Telford has nearly twenty years of experience in institutional finance services, with specialized experience in executive benefit plans, incentive compensation, and institutional investment management. As a principal at BFB, Tom consults with executives and boards across the country on matters ranging from recruiting and retention for key leadership to asset portfolio management and regulatory compliance. He also manages BFB’s national consultant team, ensuring plan designs meet the highest level of safety and soundness as well as federal and state guidelines.

Tom earned his Bachelor of Science in Professional Sales from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. His licensing accreditation includes life and health insurance as well as securities license series 6, 63, and 65.
