Chris Harper, Senior Director, Filene Research Institute, Madison, WI

Chris HarperAn authority on the auto and finance marketplaces, Chris brings 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to Filene as our Senior Director, Membership. He leads our membership efforts and drives impact from Filene’s research to change not only credit union members but the community at large.

During his 15 year tenure at CU Direct, Chris oversaw efforts in expanding alternative lending solutions, supervised the company’s successful expansion efforts into new markets, established more than a dozen key strategic partnerships, and became the company’s Vice President, Business Development.

Prior to joining CU Direct, Chris was the Finance Director for Larry Page Auto Group, managed a Community Reinvestment Act branch for Wells Fargo and also served on the Board of New Generations Federal Credit Union (Richmond, Virginia) for six years.

Chris received his BS in Mass Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University, is a graduate of Bank of America's Management Training program and is a graduate of the Western CUNA Management School.
