Each year, the CUNA CFO Council offers scholarships to eligible credit union staff.  The Scholarship Committee will award recipients based on specific scholarship criteria.

Scholarship Options

Scholarships can be applied to the following programs:

  • CUNA Enterprise Risk Management Certification  (April 3-5, 2017 in Austin, TX)  
    • Applications and supporting documents must be received by January 13. Applicants will be notified of their application status no later than January 23.
       
  • CUNA CFO Council Conference  (May 21-24, 2017 in Orlando, FL) 
    • Applications and supporting documents must be received by April 7. Applicants will be notified of their application status no later than April 17.
       
  • CUNA Economics & Investments Conference  (August 14-16, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV) 
    • Applications and supporting documents must be received by May 24. Applicants will be notified of their application status no later than June 5.
       
  • CUNA Financial Management School (July 30 – August 3, 2017 in Las Vegas, NV)
    • Applications and supporting documents must be received by May 5. Applicants will be notified of their application status no later than May 15.
       
  • CUNA Investment Certification Schools (September 11-15, 2017 in Chicago, IL)
    • Applications and supporting documents must be received by June 16. Applicants will be notified of their application status no later than June 26.

Scholarship Information:

Scholarships will be approved prior to attendance of the school, but reimbursed after proof of attendance is provided.

Scholarship recipients of the CUNA CFO Council Conference must stay at the hotel in which the conference takes place.

Each year, the CUNA CFO Council offers scholarships to eligible credit union staff, up to $2,500, and can be used toward combined expenses. The Scholarship subcommittee of the Membership Committee will award scholarships based on certain criteria.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be considered as a potential scholarship recipient, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Credit union must demonstrate need (as determined by selection committee).
  2. Applicant must be a member of the CUNA CFO Council
  3. Requests must be for the CUNA CFO Council Conference or approved CPD schools.
  4. Must be a full-time employee of your credit union.
  5. Maximum scholarship per year cannot exceed $2,500 per credit union.
  6. Must be from an affiliated credit union.

  • Copy of your credit union’s most recent quarterly financial statement.

Selection Criteria - A scholarship committee, led by Sonya Jaynes of Red River EFCU, will select the recipients based on reasons stated on the application form. All decisions are final.
