Overview of the Phil Greer Lifetime Achievement Award

The award’s namesake, Phil Greer, was Senior Vice President of Loan Administration for State Employees’ Credit Union and was responsible for all lending functions.

In addition to his 32 years of service to the members of SECU, Phil took an active role in the credit union movement. He served for nine years as a member of the CUNA Lending Council Executive Committee, including two years as Chairman.  Phil served as a member of the CUNA Governmental Affairs Sub Committee for Consumer Protection and was also a past member of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Credit Union Advisory Boards.

The Phil Greer Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals who exemplify the leadership, passion and commitment Phil Greer brought to the CU lending industry.

Winner Recognition

Winners of the awards will be announced at the annual CUNA Lending Council Conference. To honor the recipients of the Lending Council Awards, recipients will be recognized in credit union publications and at the Lending Conference. The award will pay airfare, hotel and tuition to the conference for each winner.
