Introduction to Participating with the SBA: Boosting member business loans with SBA-backed guarantees
Small business loans on the balance sheets of banks are down about 20% since the financial crisis. This seriously challenges our economy, as new businesses are the main source of net job creation in the U.S., accounting for two of three net new private sector jobs. However, often a small loan of anywhere from $5,000 to $50,000 is all a business needs to get started. Join this webinar to understand qualifying as an approved lender with the SBA, working with the SBA’s 68 District Offices to approve loans to eligible small businesses, and your responsibilities in the event of default on an SBA-backed loan. Linda Rusche, Acting Director of the SBA’s Office of Credit Risk Management, will walk through help you explore SBA loan programs and their benefits to profits and your portfolio.
Speaker: Dianna Seaborn, Acting Director, Office of Financial Assistance, Small Business Administration
