There are Derivatives…and Then There is Hedging
04.23.2015 - 04.23.2015 (cfo)
1 p.m. CST Online via Adobe Connect
The use of derivatives can be deconstructed into two steps. The first step involves a determination of the undesired economic risk, as well as the appropriate derivative instrument necessary to mitigate that risk (The Derivative). The second step, arguably the most critical, requires establishing the optimal hedge accounting relationship (The Hedge). This webinar will explore both of these components, the derivative and the hedge, in detail with the end goal of providing a practical roadmap to managing the balance sheet. We will also highlight the relevant regulatory code, providing general thoughts to its features.
