Mandatory Repossession Letters and How to Avoid Common Mistakes

02.25.2015 - 02.25.2015 (lending)

Learn proper form completion and identify common mistakes to prevent non-compliance issues.

UCC form repossession letters such as the notice of sale, notice of right to redeem and notice of deficiency/surplus are part of the required paperwork collectors must complete. This session will review how to properly complete the letters while focusing on common misconceptions – often these required letters are riddled with mistakes. This session will highlight how these form letters are often non-compliant so you know what to watch for when reviewing your repossession letters to ensure compliance.

During this webinar with industry expert Christy Jones, you will:

  • Learn when to complete the repossession letters, how to send them and what address to send them to
  • Identify common mistakes and how to review your letters for accuracy
  • Understand the pros and cons of itemizing costs and fees
  • Leave with examples to check your form letters for compliance
