If your credit union has been talking about attracting and retaining the next generation of members and is ready to take action on this strategic imperative, this opportunity is for you. Tim McAlpine, President and Creative Director of Currency Marketing will talk about It's a Money Thing, a unique education content program that credit unions from across the United States and Canada are using to attract and educate young adults. Tim will be joined by Cynthia Campbell, Impact + Labs Director of the Filene Research Institute. Filene has been conducting an It's a Money Thing research pilot for the past year with 20 credit unions. Cynthia will share some of the findings from the research as well as talk about Filene's other research in this critical area.
Tim is the President and Creative Director of Currency Marketing. He is best known for developing the Young & Free Marketing Program and the It's a Money Thing Financial Education Program that credit unions from around North America are using to connect with new young adult members. He is also the driving force behind CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec competition and a co-founder of the CU Water Cooler.
Cynthia is the director of impact + labs at Filene. She leads Filene’s Accessible Financial Services Incubator. Cynthia comes to Filene from Tinker Federal Credit Union ($3B in assets) where she served as vice president of financial empowerment. She developed and implemented TFCU's award-winning Financial Empowerment Program.
