Charitable Accounts - An Effective Vehicle for Funding Charitable Activities of Credit Unions
Credit unions exist for the benefit of their members and work to grow and make their communities stronger. In addition to the inherent financial benefit credit unions provide to their members, credit unions are also deeply involved in the social fabric of their communities.
But in an effort to do more, credit unions are faced with the unique challenge of finding an effective mechanism for funding their charitable activities. Charitable Donation Accounts (CDA), allow credit unions to fund charitable contributions through investment returns rather than operating income, while also diversifying risk.
This is an opportunity to learn more about Charitable Donation Accounts and how credit unions like Belco Credit Union are leveraging to fund charitable activities.
