Sometimes, the best way to learn is by doing. That’s the principle that guides CUNA Financial Management School, where students become capable fiscal leaders through hands-on training.
Attendees use an in-depth asset-liability management (ALM) simulator, the Stanford Bank Game, to confront real-world financial management scenarios. Financial experts will lead you through a range of exercises that will teach you how to best protect, optimize and grow your assets.
Three parts are offered:

  • Essentials: Work through common, introductory-level financial scenarios, learn core concepts, and discover best practices.
  • Advanced: Practice high-level fiscal decision-making and strategic scenarios, including planning for growth, ratio analysis and various forms of risk assessment.
  • Update: Join fellow financial management veterans for high-impact discussions of issues that affect your credit union. Topics include an Update on Accounting & Regulatory Issues for Credit Unions and an Economic Update. (Note: Simulation is not a component of Update.)
