Lending Council Membership Committee
Develop strategies and implement tactics related to onboarding, membership involvement, retention and growth.
- Support efforts to attract new members
- Support member retention efforts
- Support actions/resources to increase and enhance member involvement
- Promote Council membership at industry events
- Leverage League relationships
Councils Membership committees will be conducted as cross-Council meetings. Individual Council Membership Committees meet on an as-needed basis.
Conference calls every 6 weeks (60 minutes each). Additional time to conduct phone calls, e-mails and other contacts as determined by the committee, approximately 1-2 hours per month.
To achieve our goals the following activities/timing will take place, with the support of the committee members and CUNA staff:
Retention: Outreach is conducted via e-mails, phone calls or letters to all non-renewed parties during February and March. Staff provides lists of non-renewed members and sample message templates for the committee to use.
Member promotion: Throughout the year, augment efforts of membership campaigns and activities with prospect outreach via emails and phone calls. Staff provides lists of prospective members and sample message templates for the committee to use.
Onboarding and Member Involvement: New members will be personally contacted several times via email and phone during the first four months of membership to welcome them, answer questions, encourage participation, and solicit feedback. This is an ongoing activity throughout the year. Staff provides lists of new members and sample message templates for the committee to use.
Surveying: Provide feedback to update and improve member survey annually; review survey for improvements.
