Best of credit union lending to be honored with CUNA Lending Council Awards

CUNA Lending Council has opened nominations for their 2017 awards, which recognize significant achievements and top performers in the field of credit union lending. Awards will be presented at the 2017 CUNA Lending Council Conference, Nov. 12-15 in Nashville.

“Historically, these awards have showcased the finest examples of lending excellence, and we’re excited to continue that tradition this year,” said Bob Stowell, Executive Committee chair and chief lending officer, Firefly FCU, Burnsville, Minn. “Consider this a chance to recognize the contributions of the professionals who ensure your lending is compliant, efficient, profitable and to members’ satisfaction.”

Categories for this year’s awards include:

  • Excellence in Lending Awards: For specific examples of lending excellence wherein credit unions serve their members while maintaining sound financial performance. Nominations due Sept. 25, 2017.
  • Rising Star Award: For an up-and-coming credit union lending professional who, in their burgeoning career, has demonstrated considerable promise and achievement. Nominations due Sept. 25, 2017.Winners of these awards will receive complimentary registration to the CUNA Lending Council Conference, where they will accept their prize in a special ceremony. The Rising Star Award winner will also be profiled in Credit Union Magazine.
