New CUNA Technology Council White Paper Explores How Executives Inspire Innovative Thinking

By Karen Bankston07.11.2018

Innovation in financial services can take many forms, from quantum leaps to more incremental advances to enhance service delivery and dial up operational efficiencies. Technology executives are well positioned to lead innovation at their credit unions if they are given the charge and capacity to look beyond managing current IT needs.

This white paper examines:

  • how CIOs and CTOs can become agents of change by developing their own leadership competencies and conceptual thinking abilities, and by developing the business acumen and collaborative skills of their staff,
  • how organizational structures and methodologies support innovation and cultural shifts, enhancing collaboration across business units, and
  • how IT leaders can set the tone for an innovative environment in which new ideas are welcomed, and employees are coached and rewarded, for moving their teams, departments, and credit unions forward.
