FS-ISACS Information

The CUNA Councils are excited to offer you a new member benefit from FS-ISAC.

FS-ISAC

FS-ISAC is the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center.  It was established by the financial services sector in response to 1998's Presidential Directive 63. That directive - later updated by 2003's Homeland Security Presidential Directive 7 - mandated that the public and private sectors share information about physical and cyber security threats and vulnerabilities to help protect the U.S. critical infrastructure.  Current members of FS-ISAC include: Banking Firms & Credit Unions, Securities Firms, Insurance Companies, Credit Card Companies, Mortgage Banking Companies, Financial Services Sector Utilities, Financial Services Service Bureaus, Appropriate Industry Associations, Hedge Fund IT, and Security Service Providers.

This weekly newsletter will be posted to the Cybersecurity & Fraud Prevention discussion within the Councils Community.*

FS-ISAC is recommended by the U.S. Treasury, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Secret Service, and the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council and many other associations. With the membership that CUNA has with FS-ISAC, we are able to share the weekly newsletter called “Community Institution & Association Risk Summary” with our Council Members.

Thank you for your Council Membership. We are glad to bring this Community Institution & Associated Risk Summary newsletter to you as value add.
