Hello Finance Council Community!  I have had the pleasure of being a part of this great credit union industry for more than 12 years.  The first 5 spent on the Examination side, converting over to the “good” side within Finance and ALM for the last 7 years.  I am currently the SVP of Finance for Skyla Credit Union, a $1.4bn in assets credit union located in Charlotte, NC.  It has been an absolute honor to serve on your Executive Council since January 2022 and I would sincerely appreciate your support in allowing me to continue serving this great community for another term.  I serve as Vice Chair for both the Conference Planning Committee and Member Resource Committee.  Thank you for your consideration and more importantly for being an active part of this great community.

I would be honored continue serving on the Executive Committee, an organization that’s been so influential to me over the past 13 years. During this time, I’ve had the opportunity to serve on several committees of the Council, most recently on the membership, engagement and conference committees. Collaboration and education are fundamental to our growth as professionals and key to the success of the credit union movement and ultimately our members. I’ve had the opportunity to work with credit unions around the world in varying capacities, and I believe the cooperative sprit is what sets us apart. This group plays a significant role in the financial development of our current and future credit union leaders, and I’d be deeply humbled by the chance to share my time, knowledge, and experiences to contribute to the continued success of our Council.

I have truly appreciated and fully embraced the opportunity to serve all of you for the past 3 years on the Executive Committee. I love to give back to this industry and all those that serve their members across all Credit Unions. These past 3 years have brought on a lot of changes, various economic conditions, and a lot of teamwork amongst the council members to help navigate through this together. We have pivoted as a council to bring what matters most to our members. I would be thrilled to be able to continue to serve in this capacity and continue to bring my passion for the industry and our profession to the Executive committee.

I appreciate your consideration for the CUNA Finance Council Executive Committee. As a Council member since 2007, I am a strong supporter of the value the Council provides.  As a member of the Member Resources Committee since 2015, I have regularly provided input and volunteered as a point person on many committee deliverables.  I am also a regular contributor to Council white papers. As a credit union CFO for 16 years, my responsibilities have covered relevant credit union operations with breadth and depth.  I have also obtained the CPA (not currently active) and CMA designations, among others. As a regular industry and community volunteer, I have sought to contribute my time and expertise where I can make a significant difference. My professional passions are to gain knowledge, develop as a leader and to develop and empower others.  I am enthusiastic about taking my Council participation and contributions up a notch!
