* Willis Chang

Technology Council 2nd Vice Chair
Enterprise Systems Architect - Kinecta FCU - CA

I’ve held many different IT roles in my 18-year career at Kinecta FCU, a $6.4B CU in Manhattan Beach, CA.  In 3.5 years with the CUNA Technology Council Executive Committee, I’ve also fulfilled roles as the Speed Rounds Chair (2 years + 1yr 2nd VC), Conference Committee (2nd VC), Nominations Committee, Dues Task Force, and am currently serving as the 2nd VC on the EC itself.  I also stay fairly active on the CUNA Tech Council Community (message boards) and am a mentor in CUNA’s Mentor Match program.

Long ago, I drank the Kool-Aid of “people helping people” and I continue to advocate for small, midsize and large credit unions alike in serving the Technology Council.  I’d like to help technology leaders become better business leaders within their organizations and significantly contribute to the strategic direction and financial operations of their credit unions.  Thank you for considering my candidacy.

* Rich Head

VP-Information Technology - Linn Area Credit Union  IA

“People helping people” is a common credit union slogan and the tagline for the credit union I work for is “We are Family”. These two ideas are what I truly love about the credit union industry, its’ primary focus on helping people. I am excited about extending my service on the CTC Executive Committee so I can continue this philosophy by applying my 25+ years of experience in Information Technology to help our industry grow and succeed. If reelected to the Executive Committee, I will continue to champion the research, education and implementation of industry-impacting technological innovations which address member needs and improve their lives and experiences with credit unions. With passion and dedication, I pledge to work collaboratively alongside CTC Executive Committee peers and industry experts to uncover new and creative ways to utilize technology to address the business challenges facing our industry both today and in the future.

* Mark Reed

SVP Technology - American Airlines Credit Union, TX

As a 20 year employee of American Airlines Credit Union and current Senior Vice President of Technology I have worked hard over the years to strengthen the overall Credit Union industry. Working with a small group of other Credit Unions over the years I have helped to create the content for and deliver an annual national Credit Union Information Security Summit for the past 10 years. In addition the past many years I have worked closely with the CUNA Technology Council to deliver “chat” events, whitepapers, and other methods to help all Credit Unions in better securing our industry and systems. I ask for your vote to elect me back to the Technology Council Executive Committee to allow me to continue to serve and work to strengthen the industry. I enjoy working closely with all of you who participate with CUNA Technology Council and look forward to our future collaboration. Thank you for your vote!

* Richard Roark

VP/Chief Technology Officer - Bay Federal Credit Union, CA

Richard Roark is the VP/Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Bay Federal Credit Union.  Richard joined Bay Federal in 2016 to lead the Technology department of 18 staff members. Richard has spent 4 years deploying modern Technologies that strengthened the security and availability of all systems. Richard was previously the SVP/CIO (21 Years) at Travis Credit Union. Through Richard’s leadership as executive sponsor, his previous credit union successfully implemented their biggest project in the last 32 years, a conversion Fiserv DNA.  Richard has served on Fiserv Spectrum’s board, ensuring development was focused on critical projects. Richard is an alum of the Credit Union Executives Society and earned the Certified Chief Executive designation. Richard is the 2021 CUNA sponsorship committee chair adding vendor/partners to this year’s conference. Richard would like to continue his volunteer work and believes his experience will continue to add value to the council and executive committee.

Jeffrey Staw

Chief Innovation Officer, Bellco CU, CO

I am honored by the privilege to seek your vote as a member of the Technology Council Executive Committee.  I view Council members as key stakeholders in the effort to promote the collaborative and innovative credit union model to enable excellence.  Over the past several years, I've had the opportunity to serve as both Chief Digital Officer and Chief Innovation Officer at Open Technology Solutions (OTS).  The greatest of my responsibilities and accomplishments revolve around the ever growing and evolving collaborative and transformative efforts the credit union industry must undertake to succeed.  I am a firm believer in collaboration; teaching and living it daily.  Creating and extending relationships are core to success, and I look forward to the opportunity to leverage my relationships to further the efforts set forth by the Technology Council membership.

Clifton Van Scyoc

VP of Technology - PSECU - PA

My life has been surrounded by credit unions, I have worked in other industries and government, but the value of the cooperative was not known to me until taking my first job at a credit union.  Working for the Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union has shown me an energetic organization that is focused on providing value to its members, it has expanded my relationships and opportunities to serve my community.  I have gained a greater reward for serving on boards and committees that impact the lives of others, CUNA has given me an opportunity to scale and provide impact in larger ways and help on a national level.  Please consider my passion for technology and my diverse knowledge as an opportunity to best continue my journey serving the members of CUNA’s professional organization.
