Joseph Garibyan is a Partner at Styskal, Wiese & Melchione, LLP (“SW&M”), a full-service credit union law firm. Joseph leads the privacy and cybersecurity practice group in SW&M and is a member of the firm’s general regulatory compliance practice group. Joseph has provided advice and counsel to credit unions across the United States regarding various privacy laws and regulations, most notably the California Consumer Privacy Act, and has assisted credit unions in the development of privacy policies, procedures, notices, forms and other facets of credit union privacy compliance programs.
Joseph is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professions (“IAPP”) and holds the following IAPP certifications: Certified Information Privacy Professional (US), Certified Information Privacy Professional (EU), Certified Information Privacy Manager, and Certified Information Privacy Technologist. Joseph is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Section.
