John Mattone

Former executive coach to Steve Jobs

John Mattone is a bestselling author, the world’s top executive coach, and the founder/co-founder of five exceptional coaching and leadership development companies.

He is the former executive coach to the late Steve Jobs and the former legendary CEO of PepsiCo, Roger Enrico. Since 2017, Mattone has personally coached and mentored over 450 global executive coaches from 52 countries in his proprietary ILEC philosophy, process and tools.

John is the author of nine books, including four best-sellers. His most recent book, The Intelligent Leader (October 2019) was a Forbes #1 Holiday Book; #1 Amazon Best-Selling New Release; Soundview Best Book of 2020 and rated as the 64th Best Leadership Book of All Time by Bookauthority.org.

John has been recognized and featured by the WSJ, Forbes, CNN, Fast Company, Entrepreneurs Magazine, Thinkers50 and many other respected research and news organizations as one of the top leadership & executive coach authorities in the world.  For the third consecutive year (2019 -2021), the research organization, Globalgurus.org, awarded Mattone with the prestigious world’s #1 coaching authority ranking. (Legendary executive coach, Marshall Goldsmith, is the only other executive coach in the world to achieve this.)

He serves on the executive MBA faculty at FAU and is a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Hult International School of Business.

Mattone holds a B.S. Degree in Management and Organizational Behavior from Babson College. John also holds a M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Central Florida.
