As the leader of the Client Success team, Emily provides the critical last piece of the data puzzle for AdvantEdge Analytics clients. Whether credit unions want to use data to better engage with their members, grow wallet share, uncover trends in fraud, better manage lending risk or optimize their marketing channels, they count on Emily and her team to develop an exceptional data strategy that deploys their resources efficiently and effectively. Before joining AdvantEdge Analytics, Emily held a variety of roles with CUNA Mutual Group. She started her career with one of the Midwest’s premier credit unions: $2 billion Summit Credit Union. There she honed her skills in lending, operations, retail branches and underwriting.

Brett Fisher

Brett has taken an untraditional path to the accounting side of the credit union industry. He spent time with both Vanguard and the NCUA prior to joining Founders Federal Credit Union as the Vice President of Finance. Present responsibilities include oversight of Liquidity, Interest Rate Risk Management, the Investment Portfolio, Finance & Profitability, and CECL implementation. Brett graduated from NC State University with a degree in Horticultural Science, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2007 in addition to obtaining an MBA with a concentration in Investment Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Robin Hoag

Robin D. Hoag, CPA, CGMA, CMC, is a Shareholder and a Practice Leader of Doeren Mayhew’s Financial Institutions Group. Merger and purchase transactions require Robin to deliver knowledge and experience in balance sheet valuation, synergy forecasting, transaction structuring skills, and capital management risk management integrated to transaction goodwill or bargain purchase determination. He delivers a multitude of advisory services to clients, including merger and acquisition guidance, business valuation, and strategic planning. From prospecting merger opportunities for clients to establishing effective financial and operational negotiations for new business to deal closing and post-merger integration, he is hands-on for all merger and acquisition activities.

Richard Holtzman

Richard has extensive experience in retail banking and bank consulting, specializing in revenue enhancement programs. As a Senior Vice President, he is responsible for conducting bank-wide studies to identify and quantify systemic gaps in pricing, assessment and collection of service and transactional fees. Consulting initiatives are designed and implemented to quickly enhance profitability through creating new sources of non-interest income, modifying existing pricing methodologies and increasing the level of earning assets.

Prior to Ceto and Associates, Richard was a Senior Financial Analyst with Market Line Associates, a firm that specializes in account and customer profitability. By producing bank-wide diagnostic studies, he developed models to identify and classify customer profitability segments for operational and marketing purposes. Earlier in his career, Richard served in retail banking for BB&T and Wells Fargo Financial, originating mortgage and consumer loans, lines of credit, credit cards and all deposit products.

Nikole John

As Program Analyst for AdvantEdge Analytics, Nikole serves a key role in defining analytics needs for credit unions, providing insights and activation strategies. Working in the credit union industry for close to a decade, her passion for the movement began as a Member Service Consultant at Call Federal Credit Union. Pairing the front-line retail experience with her formal training and education in advanced statistics, Nikole quickly made the transition to Call Federal’s finance department. As Senior Financial Analyst, she helped propel the credit union’s data analytics function and culture. Nikole holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences, with a concentration in Statistics and Operations Research, from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Adam Johnson

Adam, CEO and one of five owners of c. myers, leads a client-focused team of 45+ professionals who are passionate about helping our clients position themselves to remain relevant, sustainable, and differentiated. In his 20+ years at c. myers, Adam has been a key contributor to the philosophy and design of c. myers’ proprietary financial models and ALM processes. He helped design c. myers’ approach to assessing business models and its strategic planning processes and serves as the strategic guide for its process improvement/project management business line.

Adam has facilitated hundreds of strategic planning sessions and has spoken at numerous national and regional conferences on a wide array of topics. He has worked with countless credit unions to improve their financial structure and has guided many CEOs as they developed solid leaders on their teams. Adam also coaches boards and CEOs as they prepare for, and execute, smooth leadership transitions.

Joe Kennerson

Joe is a Managing Director at Darling Consulting Group, working directly with financial institution executives to improve the effectiveness of their asset liability management (ALM) process. In this capacity, he provides tailored solutions for managing interest rate risk, liquidity risk and capital. Joe is also expert in the overall balance sheet management process, including risk model design and implementation, regulatory compliance and executive-level education. He is a frequent speaker and author on a variety of ALM topics. Joe has been with DCG since 2005 and is a graduate of University of New Hampshire with a degree in finance.

Paul Meissner

Paul is the CFO and Risk/Compliance Officer and has done other roles ("the" I.T. department & numerous I.T. projects) at CU of America since 1991. He began a career in CUs in 1975. Paul served as a director for the Kansas CU Association and Kansas Corporate CU, currently on the Millennium Corporate Credit Committee. He earned an MBA from Wichita State University, 1988.

Andrew Okolski

Andrew is the Director of Credit Union Strategies at The Baker Group LP. Andy joined the firm in 2018 to oversee the design and implementation of ALM, regulatory and wholesale market strategies for credit unions. He also works directly with clients across the country in a broad range of areas including education, portfolio management, interest rate risk management, strategic planning and regulatory issues. Andy opened The Baker Group LP’s regional office in Babylon, NY. Before joining the firm, he spent 15 years building and managing the Financial Strategies Group at a broker/dealer with a specific focus on the credit union industry. He brings a wealth of knowledge along with a client friendly comprehensive approach to overall balance sheet management.

Andy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Long Island University – C.W. Post. He is a registered representative and general securities principal with the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Robert Perry

Robert is a Principal at ALM First Financial Advisors, joining the firm in 2010. He leads ALM First’s Asset Liability Management (ALM) and Investment Strategy Groups and is responsible for the development of asset liability and investment portfolio themes for the firm. Robert also provides strategic focus for financial institution client portfolios that are primarily invested in the high credit quality sectors and is instrumental in balance sheet hedging strategy development.

Before joining ALM First, Robert previously served as Managing Director of the ALM and Investment Strategy division of DataTech Management in Los Angeles, California, and Chief Investment Officer for First Coastal Bank in Manhattan Beach. Previously, he was a Principal and Product Portfolio Manager at Smith Breeden Associates, Inc., where he managed Smith Breeden’s Enhanced Cash and Enhanced Equity Strategies. Robert graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management.

Ashely Vandermause

Ashely has been part of the credit union industry for more than 20 years, beginning as a teller while still in high school. She found her calling in the accounting area, working as an Accounting Manager, Financial Analyst and becoming CFO of UnitedOne Credit Union in Manitowoc, WI in 2017. A self-proclaimed “numbers geek,” Ashley enjoys the oversight of her credit union’s balance sheet with a vision of maximizing return to members while managing overall risk. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and became a CPA in 2009. 

Doug Wright

Doug serves as the Chief Financial Officer for Mission Federal Credit Union, a $4.5 billion community-based organization located in San Diego. Prior to joining Mission Fed, he served as CFO for Silvergate Bank and Intermountain Community Bancorp, and in various branch and credit administration positions with northwest regional banks.

Doug holds an MBA from Gonzaga University and undergraduate degrees in finance and accounting from University of California, Berkeley and Boise State University, respectively. His professional involvement includes serving on the Financial Accounting Standards Board Transition Resource Group for CECL, and membership in the CUNA CFO Council and Financial Managers Society. Doug has also taught at the Pacific Coast Banking School and Whitworth University, and presented at numerous industry conferences.
