This year, the CUNA Lending Council changed the structure of the annual conference and we are having a series of three virtual sessions and no conference. Given the change in structure, we will be taking a year off from granting our annual awards. The goal is to return to normal in 2022. If you have any questions regarding this change, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
As a Lending Council member, you're encouraged to nominate your peers for a variety of awards and recognition programs. Whether you're seeking to gain recognition for your own internal credit union stars, or have peers who deserve the spotlight, acknowledge the best and brightest with our awards programs.
This award identifies, recognizes and honors credit unions that exemplify excellence in lending. It showcases innovative approaches to serving members, acknowledging their universal application to credit unions nationwide and sharing the solutions with our peers.
This award recognizes and honors an emerging lending professional in the credit union industry. The recipient of this prestigious award will be someone whose work demonstrates ongoing and exceptional growth. Their contribution to the future of the credit union industry is evident during the time they've been a part of the movement.
The award’s namesake, Phil Greer, was responsible for all lending functions at State Employees’ Credit union as senior vice president of loan administration.
In addition to his 32 years of service to the members of SECU, Phil took an active role in the credit union movement. He served for nine years as a member of the CUNA Lending Council Executive Committee, including two years as chairman. Phil served as a member of the CUNA Governmental Affairs Sub Committee for Consumer Protection and was also a past member of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Credit Union Advisory Boards.
The Phil Greer Lifetime Achievement Award is selected by the Lending Council Executive Committee and recognizes individuals who exemplify the leadership, passion and commitment Phil Greer brought to the credit union lending industry.
This award recognizes the value and expertise shared with peers through collaboration within the Councils Community networking platform. The value generated by asking and answering questions and sharing documents and ideas is one of our greatest member-driven benefits. The winner is identified based on quality and quantity of contributions.
