Tell the Complete Story of Your Training Impact with Metrics

Erin Im, VP Learning and Development, Financial Partners Credit Union

Famous last words of any business review, “Maybe they need more training?” Too often, when there is a performance gap, quick assumptions are made about training – need to change it or need more of it.  Without the right data, there is risk that an organization has an incomplete story or view of their training program impact.  Which leads to an even bigger risk that the root cause is not being addressed and time is wasted fixing something that isn’t broken.

During this session we will discuss ways to leverage performance-based metrics to tell a more complete story of training impact. We’ll review where to even begin and who to collaborate with to get access to this data.  As well as, how to track, analyze, and consult with training data to facilitate better decision making.

Optimizing the Employee Experience to Drive Engagement and Productivity

Tracy Maylett, CEO, DecisionWise

A successful Member Experience (MX) is the direct result of creating a transformative Employee Experience (EX). We might even say EX=MX! But most organizations approach the Employee Experience from the wrong angles, with mediocre results. How do we build cultures where employees bring their discretionary effort—their hearts, spirits, minds, and hands—to the work they do? Based on the findings from over 40 million employee survey responses, including nearly 300,000 credit union employee responses, this session outlines the relationship between managers, employees, clients, and members. We will address aligning the key drivers of engagement “MAGIC”: Meaning, Autonomy, Growth, Impact, and Connection. Attendees will leave with a clear picture of how an organization can create an environment that attracts talent, engages and retains top performers, enhances the member experience, and drives results.

Executive Leadership's Role in Culture – panel

Patti Bani, Chief Culture Officer, Capital Credit Union

Lisa Huguet, CFO, Capital Credit Union

Jasiel Legon, SVP Chief Talent Officer, GTE Financial - Moderator

Todd Marksberry, President & CEO, Canvas Credit Union

Tansley Stearns, Chief People & Strategy Officer, Canvas Credit Union

Let’s start off by agreeing that our beliefs, ideals, principles, attitudes, goals and values form our credit union culture. The culture of our workplace controls the way employees behave with co-workers and our members.  Your credit union culture is comprised of the important intangibles that dictate how our team operates and does business. In a lot of ways, our credit union culture becomes part of our organization’s identity within our community, so it’s important to get it right.  Employees make hundreds of decisions on their own every day, and culture is the guide.  Culture helps your employees feel connected, belonging to a work environment where their ideas are valued, and their voice is heard.  It builds trust in your credit union, which in turn will make them strive to give more.  Hear from a panel of CU Executives as they share their experiences and recommendations on how they have been successful.

Bringing Organizational Data & Analytics to Life in HR – for Advanced Analytics

Scott Pollak, Partner, PwC

While HR data and metrics with basic slicing and dicing have been around for a long time, people analytics cases using advanced statistical techniques are still quite a new phenomenon and only a handful of organizations actually conduct these kinds of analyses on people data. This session is focused on those who already have organized data and dashboards and are looking for more insights into analytics including touching on predictive analytics.
