Hear from a panel of credit union leaders about how they prepared themselves or developed senior leaders to be ready for the Chief Lending Officer role. A CEO will share their insights on how they created a clear succession plan and developed talent at their credit union to create “readymade” talent to fill the CLO role. We will also have aspiring lending leaders discuss how they are preparing themselves for next-level lending leadership roles. Finally, we will have Jeremy Pinard, CLO @ Vantage West Credit Union, discuss his journey from Teller to CLO.

Ent Credit Union will share how they addressed a talent pool that was drying up around them with the lack of available and qualified lenders during one of the most challenging times in lending history.  They are excited to introduce their EntRANCE Trainee Program and share insights about how it has been a win-win for Ent and the trainees participating in the program, offering details about how they did it and what they learned along the way.

Mark will present on WSECU’s process for scoring and prioritizing collections outreach efforts.  He’ll touch on how the project started, how we approached the problem and how it has impacted our collections efforts.  Additionally, he’ll be discussing what we’ve learned about deploying and leveraging models and how we are looking to enhance the process going forward.

Phil Maniaci, RVP Lender Client Experience, Strategic Accounts, CU Direct

Phil will present a short discussion on Process Outsourcing and how this was able to help Credit Unions adapt to Covid-19 related challenges and the new dynamic in remote operational changes to maintain efficiency and productivity.
