Steve Bugg has been President/CEO of Great Lakes Credit Union since 2018. GLCU is a $1B Illinois State Chartered Credit Union, Federally Insured serving diverse communities in the greater Chicagoland market. Great Lakes Credit Union is a low-income designated credit union, community development credit union and one of six credit unions nationally with a HUD Certified Counseling program. The credit union has 12 experience centers, a loan and call center, which serves over 80,000 members with 225 employees.
Prior to his current position, Steve was Executive Vice President of Heritage Federal Credit Union and was their former Chief Marketing and Member Service Officer. While leading marketing, Steve and his teams were actively involved with the CUNA MBD Council.
