Linda White is the recently retired President and CEO of Upward Credit Union, located in Burlingame, CA, where she’d been for 37 years and was CEO since 1998.
White graduated from Western CUNA Management School (WCMS) in 1990. She also attended Stanford Executive Development School. White received the Distinguished Service Award along with the Grassroots Leader of the Year and the Kim Bannan Eternal Flame Award in 2012 and 2018, respectively, honors bestowed by the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues. In 2019 she received her CU Development Educator (CUDE) designation, which she states “was life changing.”
White has been a thought leader throughout the credit union industry. She is a founding board member of the Healthcare Credit Union Association (HCUA) and has served on numerous committees with the California Credit Union League, Credit Union National Association (CUNA), CUNA Mutual, and the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI).
Linda continues to serve on various boards and committees that support the credit union industry and the local community. She is a founding member of the Credit Union Women’s Leadership Alliance (CUWLA), formed in 2019 and now serves as their Executive Director.
