Spencer Carver *

AVP SEG Development - Mountain America Credit Union - Sandy, Utah

I oversee business development for one of the largest credit unions in the country.  My team and I have added  over 6000 active SEG’s in 11 years.

For 9 months, I’ve served on the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Executive Committee.  We’ve added focus and emphasis to current and new business development issues amongst credit unions.  I’ll continue to represent and give voice to credit unions around critical BD issues.

I plan to contribute innovative ideas and practices based on principles that work regardless of demographic.  Business Development is about relationships.  I want each of us to thrive in our element regardless of change- and there is still plenty of change to take place.  People helping people motivates and inspires me on a daily basis.  When we do things for the right reasons great things tend to happen.  It is in the small and simple acts that miracles take place.

Marella Nardotti *

Chief Marketing Officer - NextMark Credit Union – Fairfax, VA

Thank you for consideration in re-electing me to the Executive Committee, where I have served as Chair and Vice-Chair of the Membership Committee, Vice-Chair of the Nomination Committee, and Chair of the Diamond Awards Committee. Over the last three years, the council experienced positive membership growth, and exceeded goals for Diamond Awards entries. This success would not have been possible without the collaboration of our council volunteers.

With 15 years of credit union executive-level leadership experience, from rebranding, to digital platform implementations, to creating a brand centric member experience, my passion for the movement shines through in everything I do. I am a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE), was CUNA’s Marketer of the Year in 2020, and am currently participating in Filene’s i3 Innovation Program.

If re-elected, I will actively listen to your needs, and will work diligently to enhance the benefits of your council membership.

Josh Wilson *

Senior Vice President of Marketing - Whitefish Credit Union – Whitefish, MT

I have had the pleasure of serving our council on the Executive Committee and leading the Member Resources Committee, which oversees the creation of white papers, roundtables, and council chats. I have approached this role by drawing from my over ten years of experience with credit unions, which includes leading a business development department, a corporate branch, and a marketing department.

Our industry faces many challenges, and it is through the actions of our council that we can support our fellow marketers through uncertain times. As a marketer in a rural and low-income community, I know credit unions face even more challenges in reaching new members. My goal is to advocate for marketers who face similar challenges while also focusing on supporting innovative strategies that will allow us to remain competitive.

LaShanta Green

Director of Marketing & Community Relations - Dow ECU - Midland, MI

What can one accomplish with ambition in 589 days? A lot of transformational change. I'm LaShanta Green, the Head of Marketing & Community Relations at Dow Credit Union. Less than two years ago, I moved to a new state and started working in a new industry. With a background in integrated marketing communications and a passion for people and experiences, it took little convincing to realize the credit union space is for me. In my short tenure, I led a rebrand, website restructure and helped reintroduce our nationally renowned credit union to neighbors nearby and far. I know to learn, I must be willing to lead. From speaking at the CUNA conference as a first-time attendee to finding ways to further engage as a member of the Member Resource Committee. I've hosted roundtables and chats and contributed to white papers. I am now seeking my next opportunity to serve strategically.

James Grenon

VP of Administration - Summit Credit Union - Greensboro, NC

I am the Vice President of Administration at Summit Credit Union in Greensboro, NC with $345M in assets and 36,000 members. I am interested in serving  on the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council Executive Committee as an opportunity for me to give back to the council as it has been a notable influence in my professional growth.

As a credit union professional with over 20 years’ experience in marketing, business development, and operations, this elected position aligns with my desire to contribute to and grow from a well-respected and talented group of credit union leaders. I have actively served on the Membership Committee for approximately three and a half years giving me invaluable experience and insight.

If elected, my passion for marketing and business development will drive advancement of initiatives, in turn, benefiting the credit union industry. Thank you for your consideration.

Kristin Romero

VP of Marketing - Baton Rouge Telco FCU - Baton Rouge, LA

With 18 years of marketing experience, and five years in the credit union movement, I can honestly say that I’ve found my professional home. Part of what makes this industry unique is the abundance of support, knowledge, guidance, leadership, and friendship I have received through this council.

I’ve been an active member of the M&BD Council for five years, been involved as a Diamond Award judge for several years as well as an award recipient, was recognized as the 2019 Rising Star and Top Contributor, presented at Digital Marketing School, participated in the Mentor Program three times, served on the Engagement Committee, and contributed to various council white papers.

I am hopeful of becoming an Executive Committee member to give back, and bring my passion for marketing, strategy, innovation, creativity, results and real-life impact to continue to advance our council for our members – and for yours.

Lorrell Walter

Chief Marketing Officer -  Western Vista FCU - Cheyenne, WY

I joined the M&BD Council in 2018, attended my first conference in 2019 and became actively involved on the conference committee in 2020. I was honored to receive the inaugural Community Outreach Professional of the Year award in 2022 and Volunteer of the Year in 2021. The council has been a tremendously valuable resource, and I want nothing more than to serve the organization that has provided me with inspiration and motivation. I’ve worked hard to bring sessions of interest and value to the conference, including the infamous “booze session” at our last virtual conference. The conference is just one facet of what the council offers for our membership, but I am very passionate about the role it plays in developing credit union marketers and positioning them for success. As an employee of a mid-size credit union, I bring a different perspective to those who have limited resources.
