Compliance & Risk Council scholarship programs

CUNA Compliance & Risk Council is pleased to offer a scholarship to a qualifying candidate interested in attending CUNA Compliance & Risk Council Conference.

Scholarships will be awarded up to $2,500 and can be used for combined expenses relating to the conference. Scholarships will be approved prior to the event but reimbursed after proof of attendance and receipts for out-of-pocket expenses are provided. For face-to-face conferences, the recipient must stay at the hotel in which the event takes place.

To be eligible for a CUNA Compliance & Risk Council scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Your credit union must demonstrate a financial need, as determined by the selection committee.
  2. You must be a member of CUNA Compliance & Risk Council.
  3. You must be a full-time employee of your credit union.

Requests must be for the CUNA Compliance & Risk Council Conference.

You can receive one CUNA scholarship per calendar year across all CUNA Councils. Maximum scholarship per calendar year cannot exceed two scholarships or $2,500 per credit union.

Recipients may receive a scholarship for two consecutive years, but must then wait at least one year before re-applying. Once a recipient has received three scholarships in total, future applications will only be considered once other applicants have been evaluated and are not guaranteed to be approved regardless of financial situation, need or availability of funds.

The Scholarship Committee will select the recipient(s) based on demonstrated need, as determined by the selection committee, as well as the commitment to the compliance and risk profession. All committee decisions are final.
