Angela Moran is a seasoned executive who brings over 20 years of experience in the planning and implementation of innovative, business-transforming IT solutions within the financial services, healthcare, and insurance industries.
In the role of Chief Information Officer at Orange County’s Credit Union, Angela is responsible for the strategic vision, leadership and ongoing operations of Information Technology for the credit union. Angela has a passion for aligning IT with business objectives to transform organizations through the use of emerging technology and innovative solutions. While Angela is relatively new to the credit union industry, she is very familiar with delivering differentiating, game-changing technology. She brings a fresh perspective and a new energy with which to tackle the ever changing member expectations of a digital world. Orange County’s Credit Union is a Santa Ana-based financial services provider established in 1938, has over $2.3 billion in assets under management and 123,000 members.
Prior to joining Orange County’s Credit Union, Angela held the role of Chief Information Officer at California Coast Credit Union where she was a catalyst for change, advancing digital transformation efforts. As part of that, she was a co-creator of the Connected Member Experience Strategy focusing on member-centric design with frictionless and personalized digital experiences. Additionally, she created the Center Of Excellence for Project Delivery which aligned IT and industry best practices. Moran has also been recognized by various organizations for having well-balanced business and technical acumen and for a successful track record of driving business transformations and guiding organizational change.
Angela is an advocate for the advancement of women in technology. She is a key contributor for Advancing Women in Technology (AWT) which is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of women in technology through the endowment of educational scholarships (www.awtca.org).
Throughout her career, Angela has been the recipient of several awards including the Top Tech Exec Award in San Diego in the Non-Profit category (2018), Outstanding Executive in Technology (2015), and Rising Woman in Technology (2014).
Angela is a wife, mother of two and possesses a multitude of super powers from unwavering grit to servant leadership. She holds a B.S. degree in Psychology from San Diego State University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
