Sarena Cook is the Learning and Development Manager for OCCU and supports the employee engagement, career development, leadership development and DEI (diversity equity and inclusion) programs for the credit union. She is also the leadership sponsor for the OCCU Connect engagement and recognition committee. Sarena has a long career in financial services management and made the transition to supporting People/HR functions for credit unions in 2013. As a Strengthsfinder and Enneagram coach, she takes a personalized approach to development that focuses on the strengths of the organization and each individual within. What inspires her most is collaborating with individuals and teams to find innovative learning, development and engagement solutions that have a positive influence on employee experience, performance outcomes, and the community.
