In addition to his 32 years of service to the members of SECU, Phil took an active role in the credit union movement. He served for nine years as a member of the CUNA Lending Council Executive Committee, including two years as chairman. Phil served as a member of the CUNA Governmental Affairs Sub Committee for Consumer Protection and was also a past member of the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Credit Union Advisory Boards.
The Phil Greer Lifetime Achievement Award is selected by the Lending Council Executive Committee and recognizes individuals who exemplify the leadership, passion and commitment Phil Greer brought to the credit union lending industry.
